Flashy horse and riding wear continues to increase in popularity. Everyone has their own opinion on horse bling, some love it, some hate it. We think in moderation it can look very nice and make you stand out from the crowd, but too much bling can make you look like a moving disco ball! We had lots of similar comments, and it seems as long as Bling is overused people love it. Seemingly horse bling seems popular with both adults and children.
Bling can be used as everyday riding wear for you or your horse and wearing bling at competitions is fine too but remember, every discipline is different! Dressage attire tends to be plain, although beads or crystals are permitted on the browband. For showing bling is frowned upon, as the judges like to see plain traditional tack. Show Jumping is the one discipline where you can use as much bling as you like. It is always best to check the rules or find out from the people organising the show the rules they have to avoid disappointment.
