by Equestrian Clearance on September 1, 2011

THE leader board in the EquestrianClearance BE80(T) class at Drumclog in Lanarkshire was dominated by girls.

Winner of section G was Lanark-based rider Fiona Black and her 16-year-old mare Discovery Bay IV.

Finishing on a score of 27.9, the pair were second after the dressage section with 23.5 penalties and picked up just 4.4 time penalties in the cross-country phase, to leave them at the top of the leader board.

Fiona was delighted with the win, praising her talented mare who was on excellent form.

In section H, Megan Parrott and her seven-year-old mare Borthwick Amber led the class from the start.

Completing the dressage phase with a score of 31.0 penalties and finishing in great form with a double clear in the showjumping and cross-country phases made sure they held onto their position at the top of the leader board.
